Meet Dr. Satish
Dr. Satish B. Kaipilyawar, MBBS, MHA, Director of the Vaccine Clinic and Infection Prevention at SSRC, led the introduction of HepB, JE, and HPV vaccines in India—achieving rapid HepB scale-up to 1.6 million newborns and heading the landmark HPV demonstration in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
Immunization
- Introduction of HepB, JE, HPV in India (~80% HepB coverage in 1.6M newborns within 3 years)
- HPV demonstration project in tribal, rural and urban areas in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

- Introduced auto-disabled syringes; piloted model injection centres.
